Induction
All trainees - GP Registrars, Foundation Year 2 Doctors, 4th and 5th Year Medical Students - are asked to attend Windsor House Surgery on Corporation Street in Morley initially for induction. Travel details are given below.
You will be welcomed by Mrs Wendy Lawson, the Business Partner, Mrs Jill Peel, the Group General Manager and Ms Liz Field, the Surgery Manager. If you are unable to attend as planned please call 0113 252 5223 to let us know.
Your induction timetable, training/work schedules and all relevant Practice procedures will be explained and administrative paperwork dealt with at this stage. To assist you, individual handbooks containing useful general information about the Practice and associated organisations will be issued to you for reference during your stay with us. It would help us greatly if you could return these before you leave so that they can be passed on to the next intake.
Directions
Via public transport:
- Take bus nos. 51, 52 or 53 from Leeds Market on Vicar Lane to Morley Town Hall. (Bus timetables can be obtained from Morley Town Hall)
- Walk up Windsor Court passing Morrisons on your right
- Continue through Morrisons car park past the Church of the Nazarene on your left
- Windsor House Surgery is situated ahead of you on the junction of Albion Street and Corporation Street opposite the Police Station.
By road from Leeds City Centre:
- Leave The Headrow at Westgate Point taking the inner relief road heading south and passing the Yorkshire Post building on your left
- Keeping to the inside lane, at the Armley Gyratory roundabout take the A643 towards Morley and continue to the ring road passing Elland Road Football Ground on your right
- Turn left on to the ring road and right at the next roundabout following the signpost for Morley
- Continue up Churwell Hill until you reach the mini-roundabout at the top
- Take the 2nd turn-off still keeping to the A643 and stay on Bruntcliffe Lane across two more mini-roundabouts
- When you reach the traffic lights turn left on to Corporation Street
- Proceed to the 2nd mini-roundabout and turn left into Albion Street
- Windsor House Surgery is on the corner and backs on to Morrisons car park.
