Windsor House

Windsor House is situated near the centre of Morley. It stands opposite the Fire Station and the Police Station on the corner of Corporation Street and Albion Street, adjacent to Morrisons car park.

It was purpose-built in 1988 and offers a high standard of medical primary care facilities. The surgery covers two floors. As well as Reception and a large waiting area, the ground floor incorporates Doctors consulting rooms, toilets with disabled facilities (access via main entrance) and a baby change room. The first floor has two fully equipped treatment rooms for use by our Practice Nurses together with accommodation for adminstration and a Staff rest room.

Clinicians

Wherever possible all clinical personnel attend at each surgery location on a regular basis so that all patients have an opportunity to see the doctor or nurse of their choice. The Receptionists will be able to confirm when a clinician is scheduled to be at a particular surgery.

Staff

As a group practice our Staff work at the three different surgeries from time to time, but for continuity they each have a base.

Windsor House Surgery is managed by Ms Elizabeth Field, assisted by Mrs Lynn Smith, Senior Receptionist, and Receptionists Mrs Michelle Collins, Mrs Susan WardMrs Deborah Foster and Mrs Deirdre Taylor

Our two Secretaries, Mrs Wendy Oughtibridge and Mrs Judith Duffield, work from Windsor House Surgery and handle all correspondence for our Doctors.

Together they run the department processing all hospital referrals, as well as the completion of reports requested by insurance companies and outside agencies with regard to mortgage applications, life assurance and pensions, disabled parking badges and other social services enquiries.

They also have responsibility for the organisation of outreach clinics provided at Adwalton House Surgery and make arrangements for medical examinations needed for pre-employment, physical sports and heavy goods vehicle licences. All non-NHS forms and letters are chargeable as detailed on the price list available at each Reception.

Mrs Debbie Dobson handles all repeat prescriptions. She is happy to liaise between clinicians and patients where there is a problem or a query in relation to repeat medications.

Miss Jenny Field has specific responsibilities for patient registrations and general administration along iwth audit to deliver Department of Health requirements.
