Dr Bruno Rushforth, a former GP Registrar with the Practice and Dr Fiona McNeil, Training Partner, have collaborated to produce an article for the British Medical Journal.
Bruno recently spent a year with the Practice working on a part-time basis and his experience and the insights gained underpin the piece.
The authors state the case persuasively in favour of the mutual benefits of the part-time approach and advocate its wider adoption. Even though it may involve some compromise and adjustment for both employer and trainee at the outset, the final result looks like win-win.
